What age did you take up Snare drumming and what interested you in pipe bands?
I started learning pipe band drumming at the age of seven. My uncle, Christy Russell, I remember he brought me along to a band practice one evening with my two cousins, I just was mesmerised by the drum corps all evening,
What bands have you played for and what is your most memorable moment?
I have been very lucky to hve been involved in three; Castlemoate, Black Raven and St.Laurence O’Toole, but the most memorable for me was winning the Grade 1 World Drum Corps title in 2006 with SLOT.
Who are your biggest inspirations in the Pipe Band world?
My biggest inspirations are the ones who have influenced me personally during my career. My Dad, Mick, and Stephen Creighton, both men have definitely been my biggest inspirations for many different reasons both musically and personally.
